Sancţiunile impuse Rusiei nu sunt de vină pentru criza alimentară mondială, consideră SUA

25 July 2016, Kukareta, Nigeria - In Northeast Nigeria, FAO is providing agricultural assistance to 12 400 IDP households and host families during the ongoing rainfed cropping season with the financial support of the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). Improved varieties of food crop seeds (millet, sorghum and cowpea) and fertilizers were provided to vulnerable farmers in Borno and Yobe States. The harvest is expected by the end of September and will allow them to cover their food needs for up to ten months. This intervention is crucial to help improve food access and prevent beneficiaries from depending totally on food assistance in the coming months.
